About: Hailing from the Black Shroud Albertgeant grew up on the stories of heroes and their acts of derring-do. Ever since he was a lad, Albertgeant wanted to go off on an adventure and have his own story one day be sung by the bards of Eorzea. His home life was as normal as it could have been for living with traveling merchants. He traveled the land with his parents, peddling their wares from place to place.
It was during his fifteenth summer that everything changed. The routes they would run had become increasingly dangerous, due to beast and bandit. His father hired Awyrdoen, a Roegadyn Warrior and a Hyur woman by the name of Ceolwynn a Dark knight who would protect the caravan. Albertgeant looked up to the stoic figures and enjoyed the stories they would tell of battle and glory by the campfire. They had stopped on the road to make camp on a particularly rainy night. While his father and mother retired early, the young Elezen sat by the fire chatting with his protectors when a figure stumbled into camp. Both Awyrdoen and Ceolwynn were cautious at first but Albertgeant talked them into letting the soul warm himself by the fire. It was here that Albertgeant let slip that they were traveling merchants not thinking much of it. After a while when the rain had stopped the man excused himself and vanished into the night.
The following day they were waylaid by a group of bandits at its lead the same man who had stopped that night. Aldbertgeant became separated from the group, running into the forest at the instruction of his parents. The din of fighting slowly dying behind him, he managed to find a hollowed tree to hide in. He only hopped that someone would come. And someone did, a bandit had broken away as well and had hunted him down. The two struggled, the thug cutting Albertgeant across the face and pinning him to the ground the bandit raised his sword ready to kill. In that moment the world went red, something in his chest felt like it was clawing its way out. He heard a scream that wasn't his and then the world went black.
Albertgeant awoke to Awyrdoen and Ceolwynn and a bloody mound of what was once the bandit. The two exchanged a glance before escorting him back. The two had managed to repel the attackers and protect his parents. The two explained the situation and after much debate decided it was best to send Albertgeant away so as to train this power.
It was neither the inner beast that dwelt within the hearts of warriors or the darkness that dwells in the heart of a dark knight. Just what it was, the three would try and find out.
